FMC FoodTech Launches the CM-40 II High Speed Charmarker

FMC FoodTech, one of the world’s largest suppliers of industrial food processing systems, today introduced the improved high speed CM-40 II single- and dual-sided charmarkers.

Improving on an already proven design, the newly launched high speed CM-40 II single- and dual-sided charmarkers offer more throughput, better hygiene and reduce maintenance costs. One of the CM-40 II’s most notable features is the increase in its production capabilities of up to 65 feet per minute.

"The CM-40 II’s new design eliminates the hollow sections in the frame, making it the most hygienic charmarker ever produced," states Jim Ehret, Stein engineering manager at FMC FoodTech. "Because its streamlined design requires less parts, the CM-40 II provides more reliability, lower maintenance costs and is easier to clean."

The CM-40 II features a shaft-mounted direct drive with variable speed readout as well as a belt speed readout on the control panel which will offer poultry processors better quality assurance and control of their production line.

The CM-40 II features a remote-mounted gas train in a stainless steel cabinet to prevent corrosion of the gas components. The design utilizes stainless steel bearings on all shafting with all bearings moved outside the heat zone, central lubrication points and an improved mesh belt design and belt drive. Additionally, the CM-40 II is easier to clean because of the simplified and removable guard assemblies on the top and bottom half of the machine.
