Jams

A jam typically consists of one type of fruit and fruit juice. The fruit is crushed and heated with added water and sugar in order to activate the pectin in the fruit. Freezer Jam, a popular treat in North America is uncooked and stored frozen. Jelly is clear kind of jam and is made by filtering the juice and by adding pectin.
