The acquisition of Stein in 1996 provided JBT FoodTech with specialized knowledge in coating equipment design, application expertise and the largest installed base of coating systems worldwide.

JBT FoodTech continuously invest and grow this segment by further develop existing equipment design and new efficient technology.

The Stein product line is synonymous with continuous, conveyorized batter and breading applicators. Since introducing the first commercially successful batter and breading applicator in 1955, we have continued to lead the industry with innovative and robust equipment, designed for a wide application of batter and breading materials.

By working closely with both processors and ingredient suppliers, our batter and breading applicators have provided the means for commercializing a wide assortment of highly specialized coating materials, like Japanese style bread crumbs and tempura style coatings, to an even wider selection of food products.

JBT FoodTech led the industry with the development of hydraulically powered coating equipment, which greatly enhanced equipment performance in the harsh environment of a processing plant. Our batter mixers provide high capacity, and precise batter blends for both conventional and tempura style liquid coatings.

JBT FoodTech offers a wide selection of specialized batter and breading applicators in a variety of sizes to meet virtually any application or capacity requirement
