Over the years JBT FoodTech has installed hundreds of refrigeration systems and throughout this time Frigoscandia Equipment has been at the forefront of refrigeration technology.

Up until the early 1990s JBT FoodTech supplied predominantly conventional pumped re-circulation refrigeration systems and had vast experience in the design, packaging and operation of such systems. In the early 1990s however, the development of the Flat Product Freezer (FPF) imposed new demands on our refrigeration systems. For peak performance FPF freezers needed lower temperatures than conventional refrigeration systems could efficiently and reliably supply. Eventually our development process led us to invent the LVS Refrigeration system. There are now well over 250 freezers world wide using LVS Refrigeration, systems with evaporation temperatures as low as a remarkable –53°C.
