FMC FoodTech Announces New Customer-Centric Position

In the highly competitive food processing marketplace where customer demands are becoming more complex, FMC FoodTech announces the development of a new position aimed at helping its customers maintain their market share and profitability. As the first Market Services Representative in FMC FoodTech's Food Processing Technology Center (FPTC), Mike Vladiff will increase the company's ability to work collaboratively with its customers.

With over 30 years of food processing industry experience in fabrication and field sales, Vladiff brings considerable knowledge to this new position. Vladiff has built strong relationships and invaluable experience by working in customer plants to help solve their processing issues and to maximize plant efficiency. In his new role, he will be working with FMC FoodTech and their customers to expand use of the FPTC and to increase the effectiveness and impact of each customer visit. Vladiff will coordinate each customer visit to the center and provide follow-up to ensure the customer's expectations have been exceeded.

"This position will provide our customers the expertise that they need to help make decisions about their processing requirements," said Jan Gaydos, director of marketing and the Food Processing Technology Center. "Mike will be the liaison between the FPTC staff and the customer, encouraging participation and questions to ensure the customer's expectations are clearly understood and effectively communicated. This will help us make each customer visit a positive and rewarding experience."

Completed in 1996 at a cost of $5 million dollars, the 30,000 square-foot Food Processing Technology Center features a 12,000 square-foot processing area, a state of the art training facility with full audio/visual capabilities, two reconstitution test kitchens for product evaluation, and multiple conferencing areas. The customer training center is unrivalled in scope offering a wide range of training classes on everything from basic portioning and coating to frying, cooking, freezing and refrigeration.

The FPTC hosts food processors and allied suppliers from all over the world with more than 400 scheduled activities annually. The center provides a forum for processors to evaluate new food products and process development on full-sized production equipment as well as interact with knowledgeable industry experts.
